Awareness is not “Normal”

“Normal” is the finite perspective that most people live from. It has strong opinions, almost all of which can be traced back to someone or something, other than you, telling you what to believe, think and feel.

It’s almost abnormal to feel your feelings deeply, know your true desire, and experience fulfillment. It is certainly rare. Too often, we spend our lives doing uninspiring work and in unfulfilling relationships.

Normal is not bad, but it is a different experience than Awareness level consciousness.

Unconscious Belief Systems, Thoughts, and Behavior

Unconscious thinking leads to unconscious doing. Doing is the tangible creating of your life. Doing and thinking are frequently motivated by unconscious beliefs. Until you can see this, the cycle has created your life more than you have.

Alcohol is a Depressant

Depressants, quite simply, depress our thoughts and feelings. The definition of depress is “push down, lessen, or decrease.” When we take depressants, we are “pushing down,” or avoiding our natural mental and emotional patterns—our innate feelings!

Motivation vs. Inspiration

Beyond the mental and emotional experience of motivation there is inspiration—or being in-spirit. Rather than doing something because it is logical, moral, or safe, inspiration is a calling. Instead of you having an idea, it’s as if an idea has you. Nearly the direct opposite of motivation in many cases, it manifests as desire not always explainable to others. Many times when inspired, instead of strategically trying to avoid risk, instead you will have to allow fear to exist in your endeavors.

I’ve heard God described as a mystery. It does not reveal itself through science, ultimatum, or wishful thinking. It does not need you to believe in it. It has infinite patience, and will allow you to make your choices. It is available to you, but will not force itself on you.
